NCS-Raibus Catering for Ramu Mine

NCS-Raibus the catering service provider to the Ramu Project is now employing more locals to work at its KBK mine and Basamuk Refinery messes in Madang.

The catering provider also spends more than K70, 000.00 weekly in buying fresh vegetables for both sites.

 

Assistant Project Manager for NCS-Raibus, Andrew Clinkaberry said NCS-Raibus employs a total of 146 locals for both KBK and Basamuk, of which 6 are from other provinces, 20 are from within Madang province and the rest 120 are local landowners.

 

Mr. Clinkaberry said locals are encouraged to produce adequate supplies for the catering service, and it’s up to the locals to work hard and tap into these business opportunities.
