Youth around Papua New Guinea gathered at the Don Bosco Technical Institute on the November 6-13 to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Mercy.
The week-long convention had gathered more than 300 participants to participate in the event to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Mercy.
The convention allowed youth, to participate and engage in various activities of the convention; and also to interact with other youth from other parts of the country.
The activities include Bomana Prison visitation, visit to Port Moresby General Hospital, bible quizzes, meditation hour, and intense prayer moments to help gathered youth and to ponder upon their lives.
Other activities include evening entertainment and a picnic to Adventure Park to give participating youth an opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of other participants.
The celebration was concluded with a mass and a farewell dinner.
The gathering and celebration was made possible with cooperation and support from priests and parishioners.
Fr Shanti Chako Puthussery PIME, Secretary of Commission for Youth and Laity, CBC, PNG-SI, thanked those who contributed and supported towards the successful hosting of the convention.
