With the hype of the Pacific Games drawing near, PNG’s respective Touch Teams head into camp for the final weeks of preparations.
Match fitness and ball handling are some of the keys areas the Women’s Team will be polishing on come the games.
Head Coach, Sue Salter, is confident the team will perform on home-soil.
As the games draw closer, for a number of the young guns in the touch team, travelling overseas, playing for the world cup and now competing on home soil has captivated their experience.
For some, the experience of participating in the Pacific Games will be quiet memorable, like Mother and son duo, Dianne and Samuel Vetu.
Both have been selected in the respective Men’s and Women’s Touch Teams for the Games.
With the success they have achieved at the World Cup last month, the PNG Touch Team are in camp for their final selection trials.
Women’s head Coach, Sue Salter, said the team is well rounded with experience and flare. But will be honing up on fundamental areas.
