Schools receive long awaited funds

Six schools in Alotau District in Milne Bay Province have finally received their long awaited funds committed for in 2011 by the previous government.

Minister for National Planning and Monitoring, Charles Abel, presented the cheques to Hagita and Cameron Secondary Schools, Suau High School, KB Vocational Center and Hagita and Koeabule Primary Schools.

The presentations were made at the weekend during Hagita and Cameron’s combined grade 10 and 12 graduation.

The cheques presented to these six schools totaled up to K2 million.
