POM Rugby 9s winds down

The Port Moresby Rugby League Nines pre- season winds down this weekend.

Teams will be vying for a shot atthe Bewl, Plate andthe Cup play-offs.

And inthe Cup division semi- finals, Kone Storms Beue takes on Souths Team-1 and Maiari Eagles will challengethe Maganis. Winners ofthese matches will battle it out for the Cup and cash prize of five thousand kina; and runners up will receive two thousand five hundred kina.

Man ofthe match prizes will be given to three selected players of each division. Player ofthe tournament will also be recognized. 

Chaiman Samson Unagi congratulatedthe thirty two participating teams andthe sponsor Mineral Resources Development Corporation.

Unagi saidthe competition started off on a good note and went through its knockouts successfully.

He appeals to supporters to come along tothe Lloyd Robson Oval this Saturday and supporttheir teams inthe true spirit of Rugby.
