CPL WELLNESS CLINIC, VISION CITY PARTNERS WITH NIUGINI ASSURANCE GROUP TO DELIVER ACCESSIBLE HEALTHCARE SERVICES
City Pharmacy Limited (CPL) Wellness Clinic, Vision City has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Niugini Assurance Group Limited (NAGL) to provide enhanced healthcare access for insured clients, reinforcing both parties’ shared commitment to improving health outcomes in Papua New Guinea.
The MoU outlines a collaborative framework that allows NAGL-insured clients to access a range of medical services at CPL Wellness Clinics under discounted or fully covered payment schemes, depending on the client’s insurance policy.
According to CPL the Eligible Niugini Assurance customers will pay policy excess from 0 percent, 10percent or 20 percent based on their insurance coverage terms and conditions, the rest will be claimed by CPL Wellness Clinic, Vision City, from their insurer.
City Pharmacy’s Head of Pharmacy Pradeep Panda thanked NAGL team for partnering with CPL Wellness Clinic, Vision City for the partnership.
“One of the ongoing challenges in our country is the high cost of healthcare. The public health system is under significant strain, while private healthcare remains out of reach for many. Recognising this gap, we saw the need to introduce a solution that offers a balance between the two. With our extensive experience in the healthcare sector, we made the strategic decision to establish medical centres that deliver affordable, quality healthcare to the community,” said Panda.
The first medical centre was recently opened at Vision City, marking the beginning of a new chapter in accessible healthcare delivery. The facility offers a comfortable, well-equipped environment featuring laboratory services, radiology, optometry, dental care, and general consultations through City Pharmacy.
Plans are already underway to expand the services further to include paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology.
This pilot model serves as the foundation for a broader vision to replicate similar healthcare centres across the country.
