AUCKLAND’S BAD WEATHER AFFECTS OFC PRO LEAGUE MATCH SCHEDULES

The second match of the Papua New Guinea Hekari FC against Tahiti in the OFC Professional league has been deferred due to adverse weather conditions and severe weather warnings in the Auckland region to bad weather warnings in New Zealand.

This was announced by the Oceania Football Confederation today.

OFC in a statement confirmed that the decision has been made to postpone both OFC Pro League matches scheduled to be played at North Harbour Stadium today.

The postponed fixtures include Tahiti United and PNG Hekari FC fixture, originally scheduled to be played today at midday. The South Melbourne FC versus Solomon Kings FC, originally scheduled for 7:00pm is also deferred to a later date. This also includes yesterday’s match between Bula FC of Fiji and South Island United that was differed. All these matches will be played at a later date.

The decision to postpone the matches has been taken in the interests of player safety, match officials and the supporters.
