Eliseo Group has confirmed over 3,000 Applicants for its Public Recruitment drive in Port Moresby.
A large-scale public recruitment drive is currently underway at Eight Mile Eliseo Group Headquarters with already 3,000 job seekers, underscoring both the strong public interest in employment opportunities and the company’s continued commitment to long-term investment in Papua New Guinea.
The recruitment focused on staffing the Group’s upcoming Hohola and Koki stores, both scheduled to open this year. Successful candidates will take up roles across retail operations, warehousing and logistics, administration, and store management.
The Hohola branch is planned to officially open on March 18, 2026, while the Koki branch, located opposite Koki Market, is expected to commence operations in May 2026.
Once fully operational, the two stores are anticipated to create approximately 500 direct local jobs.
“This recruitment was completely open and transparent. We want to provide fair opportunities to ordinary people and support local employment wherever we operate,” Eliseo Group expressed in a statement.
Eliseo Group currently operates nine stores across Port Moresby and surrounding areas and employs over 2,000 staff, making it one of the major employers in PNG’s retail sector. The Group’s development strategy emphasizes sustainable growth, localization, and progressive expansion into logistics, food processing, and commercial support services.
“Employees are not a cost — they are our most important asset,” the Group emphasized.
Eliseo reaffirmed its confidence in PNG’s long-term economic potential while acknowledging challenges such as operational costs and infrastructure constraints.
