DOULOS HOPE COMING TO PAPUA NEW GUINEA

The floating book fair will be open to the public in Port Moresby.

Doulos Hope floating bookfair, is coming for the first time to Port Moresby. Many may remember the visit of her sister ship, MV Doulos, in March 2008.

Visitors to Doulos Hope are offered a selection of over 2,000 different book titles at affordable prices.

They cover a wide range of subjects including science, medicine, arts, languages, faith, hobbies, cooking and sports.

 With children’s titles, academic texts, dictionaries, atlases, and more, a visit to the bookfair is something the whole family can enjoy.

Doulos Hope will be open to the public at the Old Wharf in Port Moresby from 6th February to 1st of March 2026. Opening Hours: Tuesday – Saturday: 10:00am – 5:30pm last entry 5pm.

Sundays: 1:00pm – 7:00pm last entry 6:30pm. Mondays: Closed. On 6 February, the ship will be open to visitors from 1:00pm to 5:30pm last entry 5:00pm.

Note that children must be accompanied by an adult and require their own tickets.

Children under 12 and seniors over 65 can enter for free, but they still need to have a ticket booked for priority entry.

For all other visitors, the entrance fee is 5 Kina (cash only), which will be collected at the entrance to the bookfair.
