Nearly half a billion kina in contracts were signed for the construction of infrastructures for the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby.
The signings were made betweenthe State and four contractors at Government House. They were officiated by Governor General Grand Chief Sir Michael Ogio.

Three key infrastructures; The Games Village atthe University of Papua New Guinea The Taurama Aquatic Centre, andthe Sir John Guise Stadium are now under construction and refurbishment.
Contractors Curtain Bethers China Railway Construction and Engineering, Fletcher Morobe, and Ferrum Engineering singedthe agreements with Governor General Sir Michael Ogio.
Over K440 million is split amongthe contractors to provide building materials for the Aquatic Centre and Games Village.
The buildings are expected to be completed beforethe end of next year.
