Solomon Islands Divine Word University students Club President, Ron Arawa, has called on all Solomon Island students both continuing and new intakes for studies in Papua New Guinea institutions, to submit their visa application forms early for processing before the start of 2016 academic year.
President Arawa’s call has come as previous cases have seen students arriving late during the start of the academic year for registration, resulting in many registering late.
Last year, a total of 20 continuing students from the University of Technology and Divine Word University, arrived late and were de-registered by their respective institutions while others have begun classes.
To avoid all this, the president has urged all Solomon Islands student to collect visa application forms, fill them and submit earlier to make things easier before the start of the academic year.
Visa application forms are available and can be collected at the PNG Chancery office in Honiara.
When the form is filled in, they can be submitted back at the Chancery office with an attached fee of K100.
