Police Commissioner, Gari Baki, has accepted the Constabulary’s latest promotion list, released by the Police Promotion Board.
A total of nine Chief Superintendents, 32 Chief Inspectors, 12 Senior Inspectors, 32 Inspectors, 82 Chief Sergeants, 52 Senior Sergeants, 135 Sergeants 167 Senior Constables and 249 First Constables were promoted in this latest batch of promotions.
The newly appointed Chief Superintendents include PPC East New Britain, Anthony Wagambie Jr; Director of Special Services Division, Samson Kua; PPC Jiwaka, Joe Tondop; Acting Commander of Western Highlands, Jimmy Onopio; PPC Morobe, Augustine Wampe; Commandant of Bomana Police College, N’drou Perou, and Director of Internal Affairs, Robert Ali.
Commissioner Baki said the latest promotions will complement the recent elevation of nine Chief Superintendents who were promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioners.
