With Christmas just hours away, Port Moresby residents stormed into their nearby supermarkets to do last minute Christmas shopping.
Many filed through supermarket freezer sections comparing the prices of the meats.
The newly built Stop and Shop at Waigani Central was packed to capacity.
Many of the customers came out with filled trollies, defending their way out.
Despite the scorching sun light outside, they stood firmly, waiting for their pick-ups; whilst inside, cashiers patiently served impatient customers.
Many of them said they would be celebrating Christmas with their families at home.
