Port Moresby Hockey Finishes Round Three

By Dinnierose Raiko – EMTV Sports, Port Moresby

Port Moresby Hockey Association has completed round three of its 11-a-side competition last weekend at the Sir John Guise Hockey Turf.

The women’s division has Bismarck, Sunam, United and MVP White holding the top four spots respectively on the progressive ladder.

While United, Rapatona, Bismarck Gold and Bismarck Green are the top four in the men’s division.

Amongst the highlights in the women’s division, MVP Whites beat their sister club MVP Blues 7-2 and claimed the third spot on the progressive ladder.

MVP Blues’ two goals in the dying minutes of the second half were not enough to make up the significant margin against them.

Meanwhile, the men’s division played a much faster game with Rapatona trashing Sunam Golds, 10-1.

Rapatona’s smashing win has moved them to second spot on the ladder.

United though still remain the team to beat in the men’s division.
