Police Parade in NCD

by Eric Haurupma – EM TV, Port Moresby

Police personnel have been warned to refrain from corrupt activities.

This is according to the NCD Metropolitan Superintendent who led the 2015 Metropolitan Superintendent Parade in NCD this morning.

More than 100 police personnel gathered in their distinguished police uniforms and paraded with high flying colours. The parade commemorates the true essence of policing in PNG and all over the world.

NCD Metropolitan Superintendent Andy Bawa said police personnel must stand out clearly as the real agents of the state. He said regardless of creed, colour, race or religion, this noble form of service must be delivered to every man, woman and child worldwide.

Mr Bawa said officers all over the world, including those who serve in law enforcing agencies, are a symbol of the state’s authority and government. He said police powers and authority reflect the fairness and justice in their performance of roles and functions.
