The PNG NRL Bid development officials depart for Lae next Monday and then on to Rabaul in their ongoing quest to identify and mold stars.
The main focus is to conduct elite training for the under 19 Development squad.
The NRL Bid is modifying its program to retain talented players coming out of Under 15 and Under 17 development squads.
In line with this, the Bid’s development officers will travel to each region throughout the year to train the under 19’s squad.
The training will focus on basic skills and further consolidate existing talent in all age groups.
Elite Player Development Manager Shane Morris said, having the squads set up in each region allows the Bid to organize specialized coaching.
