Palais Begin Preparations

By Lorraine Genia – EM TV Sport

The Palais have been in training since their return from Hong Kong, and are looking to build a structured team for the Pacific Games.

New inclusions to the team should cause very little instability, as the majority come from players of seniority.

Kymlie Rapilla has made a rapid come-back from an ankle injury while, Duclie Bomai, Trisilla Rema, Cassandra Sampson, Menda Ipat, Patricia Harricknen, and PNG women’s speedster on the wing, Joanna Lagona have all made the cut.

Amelia Kuk will join the team shortly for Palais camp, in the coming weeks.

The first week of training camp will be inclusive of the wider train on squad, and will begin on the 10th of May and run for a week, at the PNGIPA institute. While the second and final camp will be held in the last week of June, when a final 15 member team will be selected for the Games.
