The difficulty of transporting school materials to remote parts ofthe Central Province is now a thing ofthe past.
The Central Province Division of Education received a new vehicle worth K80, 000. The cost was appropriated in this year’s divisional budget to facilitate transportation of school materials.
When handing overthe keys, Acting Deputy Provincial Administrator – coordination and implementation Edward Kila said hiring vehicles from outside was an expensive exercise.
He saidthe purchase was to reduce cost and usethe funds for ther areas of service delivery.
Duringthe same ceremony overthe weekend, curriculum materials were also launched for elementary and secondary schools costing a total of over K500, 000.
Education Advisor Tit’s Romano Hatagen thankedthe Provincial Administrator Gei Raga and Governor Kila Haoda for the funding fromthe provincial government.
