New Market for Moresby South

The Moresby South Electorate will now have access to a newly built market bytheir local MP and Minister for SportoJustin Tkatchenko.

The Moresby South Electorate has stepped up in having basic government’services. Though it is located inthe nation’s capital, it needs vital necessities to mover forward.  Development in this area obviously becomesthe part of preparation to host upcoming events includingthe 2015 Pacific Games andthe Asia Pacific Economic Coorporation Meeting or APEC. 

The market was built with expensive roofing which contains foam, sitting in betweenthe metal to act as insulation to battle heat and keepthe building cool.

This will provide comfort for mthers to selltheir produce who have not inthe past been fortunate to use ther markets in Port Moresby.

The market will have proper toilets, rubbish collection and disposal. Mr. Tkatchenko made it his duty to have security and cleaners onthe ground to look afterthe market underthe Moresby South Market Management Beard.

During a visit tothe site,the Minister made it clear to have onlythe genuine Moresby South electorate residents to make use ofthe facility. 

The ther project he visited wasthe Kaugere Four Square church run clinic. The mobile clinic is now converted into makeshift urban clinic approverd bythe Department of Health.

The project was funded under a private public partnership worth K1.5 million.  

Staff atthe clinic are very supportive, howeverthey have not been recognized bythe Authorities in charge.

On a brighter note, Mr. Tkatchenko supported 10 different denominations including Saraga SDA church, Mahuru United Church, Taurama Valley Four Square Church with musical sets worth more than K12, 000.00.
