Man Dies After Saving His Family During High Flood

A man who tried to save his family during high flood at early hours of Saturday (March 24) was found dead after a search was conducted this morning.

Thomas Kale from Tunzkup tribe, Aprip Village in Banz Jiwaka was confirmed dead after saving his four children and wife.

Currently, the body is at Aprip Village and the villagers are in mourning. 

In that same village, a mother and a child are both confirmed dead. The body of the mother was found, while the body of the child is yet to be found.

More than 20 houses were swept away by the devastative flood at Aprip Village. Materials and goods costing thousands of kina were destroyed.
