The body of Late Major Albert Tagua was finally flown to Koroba in Hela Province to rest.
A special ceremony was held to salute the ex-serviceman who was once a platoon commander for the Papua New Guinea ATW.
Late Major Albert Tagua served the PNG Defence Force with distinction for 24 years before resigning to pursue his interest in the aviation industry.
Hundreds gathered in Tari to witness his casket arrive home. His unfortunate death shocked loved ones, his friends, family and the elites of Hela.
He was not an ordinary Papua New Guinean. Late Albert was instrumental in the development of the Air Transport Business Leg of logistics company, Trans Wonderland Limited.
A special ceremony was held to farewell him. Most described Late Albert as a man full of energy and one who had the heart for everyone.
PNG Defence Force Air Transport Wing pall Bearers, led by Colonel Kisakau and Major Edimani, brought late Albert home in true military fashion to Hedemari Village, his final resting place.
Late Albert is survived by 2 wives and 6 children.
