The Lae Biscuit Company says it has put in place temporary management arrangements while it deals with the absence of company CEO, Ian Chow, who was arrested last month for his alleged involvement in a pacific gun smuggling racket.
Australian media reports say 48-year-old Chow was arrested by the Australian Federal Police last month and was charged for his alleged role in trying to facilitate the smuggling of guns.
It is understood the guns and ammunition were going to be shipped using Lae Biscuit containers from Australia.
The company Lawyer, David Poka, said this morning that no charges have yet been laid against Mr. Chow and that the court case has been scheduled for November.
