Twenty-two PNG students will be travelling to Japan to attend a two week program under the Kizuna Project.
The project aims at building closer relations and creates an ongoing interest through firsthand experience amongst the youth of Pacific Island countries and Japan.
The project will also give students an understanding of the recovery efforts after the earthquake and tsunami that occurred last year and the current situations in Japan.
This project was announced earlier this year during the Sixth Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting.
PNG students were enlightened yesterday at the Japanese Embassy about their stay in Japan and will be leaving on the first of December.
