Difficulties within the agriculture sector need to be overcome to ensure that it returns to its former glory days – To ensure this, commodity plans need to be effectively implemented.
National Planning Minister, Charles Abel, made these remarks when launching the Coconut Industry Strategic Plan.
The launch of the Coconut Industry Strategic Plan also coincided with the signing of an MOU with Provincial Authorities for the relocation of the South Pacific’s International Coconut Genebank to Punipuni on the North Coast of the province.
This makes Milne Bay Province, in effect, the home of coconut.
