Global Handwashing Day Celebrated at New Erima Primary School

Global Hand Washing day is an event celebrated once every year nationwide in Papua New Guinea.

It is supported and hosted by Colgate Palmolive Ltd.

This year (2018) the official launch for Global Hand Washing day was at New Erima Primary School, highlighting the importance of washing your hands before eating to keep yourself safe from harmful diseases.

John Wood, the General Manager of Colgate Palmolive Ltd and wife of the Prime Minister, Linda Babao-O’Neill, spoke more about the event and the importance of simple hygiene practices, and how it can help save lives.

Global Hand Washing Day ended with the children excited and learning about the simple practices that will help keep their health, and keep them safe from harmful bacteria.
