COOKWARE AND INSTRUMENTS FOR SANGAS VILLAGE

By Bradley Mariori

The people of Sangas Village in Ward 18, Upper Baiyune, Bulolo, Morobe Province, are the only village enjoying free electricity in the province.

However, with the free electricity generated from the Baiyune Hydro on their land, they needed assistance to generate income. In response, the mothers requested support from the Bulolo DDA, which presented electric cookware to them, along with four sets of musical instruments for the churches.

Bulolo MP Sam Basil Jr said the support provided was in response to requests from the community to help families and mothers make productive use of this opportunity.

He said the electric cookware will not only benefit households but also create opportunities for SME business activities that can improve livelihoods.

“Every ward and LLG across Bulolo District has its own unique needs and priorities,” Basil Jr said.

“As your Member and Chairman of the Bulolo District Development Authority, I remain committed to ensuring that development support reaches all parts of our district based on those needs.

“Over the past four years, we have continued to deliver services and support to our communities, and we will continue working together to improve the lives of our people throughout Bulolo District.”
