AnInformation, communications and technology engineer has encouraged more young women to become engineers in this field.
Mollina Kapal, one of a few women engineers in Papua New Guineasays female numbers are low compared to male engineers.
Kapal said in a class of 10, only one graduate is a woman.
Kapal said ofthe imbalance, “… There'’s only two of us female engineers inthe country that work for NICTA being among… 25 male engineers inthe organization, we feel that we (need to) acheive gender equality inthe organizaion.”
