Gender Equality in ICT

AnInformation, communications and technology engineer has encouraged more young women to become engineers in this field.

Mollina Kapal, one of a few women engineers in Papua New Guineasays female numbers are low compared to male engineers.  
 
Kapal said in a class of 10, only one graduate is a woman.

Kapal said ofthe imbalance, “… There&#39’s only two of us female engineers inthe country that work for NICTA being among… 25 male engineers inthe organization, we feel that we (need to) acheive gender equality inthe organizaion.”
