Air Niugini have resumed its flights into Kundiawa, Simbu Province yesterday.
Air Niugini had stopped its operations into Kundiawa due to safety reasons. There was no proper fencing atthe airportoallowing people to walk freely. That problem has been resolved, and members of parliament inthe province have worked togther in gettingthe airline’s management to reintroduce flights intothe province.

Governor for Simbu thanked Minister Ben Micah, and Air Nuigini management for resuming flights back into Kundiawa. He ensured thatthe relationship betweenthe Provincial Government and Air Nuigini will continue.
Minister Micah toldthe people of Simbuthey were strategically located at a commercial corridor, andthey should look after services provided tothem. He said many services including airlines did not reach people becausetheir members failed to ask.
Kundiawa-Gembogl MP, Tobias Kulang, said it was morally wrong to deprivethe people of necessary services for three years and that this shouldn’t happen again.
