A first of its kind Women’s Expo will be staged in Port Moresby; where hundreds of women in businesses with their products and services will be on display. The expo is a platform for marketing their products and services.
EM TV was at the festival grounds this afternoon, where volunteering youth were seen working on the stalls for the five-day Expo which begins tomorrow.
Director for the PNG Women in Business, Janet Sape said women from all walks of life, from SME business owners to those in the informal sector will be in one place to showcase their businesses, products and services.
Executive Director of the YWCA, Diane Kambane said the expo was an opportunity for women to support each other.
The days leading up to the Women’s Expo has seen several donations by individuals and organisations, in cash and in kind. Today, Twinky Winky International School supported in cash.
The public is encouraged to attend and support women entrepreneurs. Gate fees will be chared at K2 for adults and K1 for children.
NCD Governor, Powes Parkop is expected to attend together with Eastern Highlands Governor, Julie Soso and Lae MP, Loujaya Kouza.
