When Tom Ford announced in October that he would be having a Drake lipstick in his “Lips & Boy’s collection,” many people were surprised.
Drake’s had a huge, career-defining 2015 and now he can add one more accomplishment to his running list of achievements.
In November, the luxury brand re-released a popular line of 25 lipstick shades called “Lips & Boys,” which includes shades named after popular male stars; including Drake (whose real name is Aubrey Graham).
The original collection was released in 2014, but the hip-hop star’s lipstick shade wasn’t included in the first set.
After Black Friday this year, the collection included a burgundy shade in honor of the rapper.
The Drake-inspired lipstick from Tom Ford’s “Lips & Boys” collection sold out in minutes.
According to Elle, online retailer Net-a-Porter, put the lipstick up for sale on their site and it took off. The Tom Ford stores in Chicago and New York also sold out, and sadly they don’t plan to restock.
However, Net-a-Porter says they will have “more stock coming soon.”
Currently the going rate on EBay is between $80-200.
