A primary school in Port Moresby has received its basic school material supplies.
Wardstrip Primary School had its Tuition Fee Free Education materials packaged and delivered under an arrangement with Treid Pacific Limited.
The supplies account for 30 per cent of the annual Tuition Fee Free Education allocation divided into the four terms of the year.
In accordance with the Government’s Tuition Fee Free Education Policy, parents of children attending Wardstrip Primary School, today witnessed the students receive their learning resource materials from the Governments TFFE Funding.
Treid Pacific, specialised in Public Distribution System for delivery of education materials, has come to the aid of certain schools, like Wardstrip, assisting with learning and teaching materials on credit basis while the schools await their TFFE funds.
The over 3,000 students from the Wardstrip Primary School each received one kit.
The 50 teachers of the school also received their re-issue.
Head Teacher, Emily Ricky, thanked Treid Pacific for its assistance.
The school’s Board Treasurer, Mathew Kulimbao, explained to the parents, the different components of the Governments subsidy. He also emphasised the importance of accountability and reporting back.
As recipients of the kits, each student and teacher signed an acknowledgement form confirming receipt of the materials.
