In preparation for the Legends Big Bash match on Saturday, members of both the Barrumundi’s and Lewas have upped the ante in anticipation.
The Big Bash will feature four international guest stars including former Australian Captain Andy Bichel.
Under the guidance of new Barramundi’s coach Deepak Patel, the men appeared intent and fully focused on the Big Bash, slated for Saturday.
This year will have a little twist with the legends being assigned to two teams to help mentor and give advice during the Pacific MMI T20 Big Bash to be played on Saturday 30th August.
The Pacific MMI PNG Lewas will showcase their talent in the morning at 9.30am followed by the PNG Barramundi's at 11.30am.
The Pacific MMI "Don't Drink & Drive" Legends Big Bash will be in full swing to promote the message of "Not drinking and driving whilst under the influence of alcohol".
Former Sri Lankan left-handed top order batsman, Asanka Gurusinha played a pivotal role in the final of the 1996 World Cup against Australia, was also on hand to give some coaching tips to the players, as well as former Cricket PNG Head Coach, Bichel.
Barramundi’s captain Chris Amini will lead one of the two teams over the weekend.
The Cricket World Cup Trophy will also be arriving into the country on Friday evening and will be the first time the trophy will come to a country in the EAP region.
