Kouza backs Government

By Colleen Barilae – EMTV News, Lae

Lae MP, Loujaya Kouza, is backing the government’s funding to improve service delivery to ward and LLG levels.

Ward councilors and LLG presidents from Lae’s Ahi and Lae Urban LLGs have been trained on basic skills of forming strategic development plans for their communities.

Three weeks ago 40 participants of ward councilors, women leaders and youth leaders from Lae’s Aihi and Urban LLGs were trained by Exodus Project Management to boost community developments.

Lae MP Loujaya Kouza is backing the government’s agenda of district funding to enhance community developments and improve service delivery to ward and LLG levels.

Development plans, project proposals and project management plans were components of the workshop training aimed to assist ward, LLG and district leaders to execute service delivery plans.

The training had cost the district more than K250,000.

22 ward councilors have the knowledge to create ward development plans that will later be used to form the Lae district development plan.

The Lae district development authority through its district development plans aims to partner with businesses in Lae to carry out service and developments at the district level.
