APEC Business Advisory Council announce dates: CEO’s Summit set

November 15th to 17th will see the leading business leaders from all 21 APEC economies meet in Port Moresby.

The dates of this meeting were announced today by the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC).

ABAC PNG today provided an update on the CEO’s Summit, which they say will be an opportunity for Papua New Guinea to showcase the opportunities on offer in-country, across a range of industries.

November 15th to 17th has been confirmed as the dates for when the world’s business leaders from the leading economies will meet to discuss issues affecting business in this part of the world, and also provide policy advice to individual economy leaders.

ABAC has announced that from the 900 spaces allocated for the CEOs Summit, 200 spaces have been allocated for representatives from within PNG – representing a perfect opportunity for the country to learn from some of the biggest names in world business.

In the lead up to the CEOs Summit, ABAC is also preparing to facilitate the Food Security Summit – this event to take place during the APEC Food Security Week.

According to ABAC PNG Member, Wayne Golding, this provides an excellent opportunity for PNG to put forward its agenda in promoting improved development of food supply in-country, as well as opening up the country to markets abroad.

Another important event on the ABAC calendar will be the staging of the MSME & Innovation Summit, aimed at highlighting potential growth areas within for SMEs in PNG, as well as various innovative business ideas that are home-grown here in PNG.
