Landowners from Western Province will now be active players in the Stanly Gas project following the signing of a joint venture agreement.
The signing was between landowner Company, Stanley Resource Holdings, a National Air company, Pacific Air Limited and Australian Building Company, Carmichael Builders.
Chairman of Stanley Resource Holdings, Rex Aipe, said that the signing of the Joint Venture today will make sure that the Landowners of the Stanley Gas Project of which he represents will be an active player of the construction phase of the project and not as mere spectators.
Mr Aipe said that this will make sure that the landowners will not miss out on participating, in not only level 1 contract but will also take part in Level 2 and 3 contracts within projects.
Pacific Air Limited CEO Captain John Imaka said that the Joint Venture signed between his company and Stanley Resource Holdings has the potential to grow over time and that it is further anticipated to change the lives of the Western Province people.
Carmichael Builders Director, Tony Carmichael, said that his company6 is pleased with the signing of the Joint Venture. His Company’s experience in the building industry for over 30 years will be utilized in the project affected areas of the Western Province.
Mr Carmichael said they have been involved with building schools. Mining Camps in Australia and are also capable in road works and structural steel needs of the project areas.
His company is further a sponsor of the PNG Hunters team in the current QRL competition
