It is the responsibility of maritime provincial governments to establish Small Craft Boards.
National Maritime Safety Authority Chief Executive Officer, Paul Unas, says this is to fully implement the Small Craft Act and decrease the number of boat accidents.
Unas says that responsibility is under law and for practical purposes.
