PM's Case Adjourned

The court case on Prime Minister Peter Oโ€™Neillโ€™s warrant of arrest continues as a final adjournment was handed down today by Justice Ere Kariko.

The adjournment comes after Paul Paraka Lawyersโ€™ counsel, Martin Kombri, claimed he was not served with documents on the application.

ย

A disappointed Justice Ere Kariko told the court that this is an issue amongst lawyers thus he reluctantly adjourned the matter.

ย

Another scene at the courts today was the new police lawyer, Sam Bonner, who replaced Paul Mawa.

ย

Sam Bonner was the Acting commissioner, Geoffrey Vakiโ€™s counsel in the contempt case against Tom Kulunga.

ย

Meanwhile, state lawyers have filed all necessary documents that are now before the judge.

ย

Paul Parakaโ€™s lawyer, Martin Kombrey, has been given a day and a half by Justice Kariko, to be served the documents as the first defendant.

ย

Meanwhile, standing orders not to arrest Prime Minister Oโ€™Neill remains. The case has been adjourned to Friday 27th of June.
