The court case on Prime Minister Peter O’Neill’s warrant of arrest continues as a final adjournment was handed down today by Justice Ere Kariko.
The adjournment comes after Paul Paraka Lawyers’ counsel, Martin Kombri, claimed he was not served with documents on the application.
A disappointed Justice Ere Kariko told the court that this is an issue amongst lawyers thus he reluctantly adjourned the matter.
Another scene at the courts today was the new police lawyer, Sam Bonner, who replaced Paul Mawa.
Sam Bonner was the Acting commissioner, Geoffrey Vaki’s counsel in the contempt case against Tom Kulunga.
Meanwhile, state lawyers have filed all necessary documents that are now before the judge.
Paul Paraka’s lawyer, Martin Kombrey, has been given a day and a half by Justice Kariko, to be served the documents as the first defendant.
Meanwhile, standing orders not to arrest Prime Minister O’Neill remains. The case has been adjourned to Friday 27th of June.
