Morobe governor, Kelly Naru, has thrown his support behind the campaign to stop seabed mining in PNG waters.

Naru says unless there is absolute proof that no harm will be done to his people and their environment, he will remain opposed to the project.
The governor's statement comes days after an anti-seabed mining forum was staged by a community based group in Madang.
