Five hundred desks were presented to five elementary schools in NCD yesterday by NCD Governor Powes Parkop.
Governor Parkop’says he will emphasize more on school infrastructure in his second term as Governor.
The first batch of desks was presented tothe Bavaroko Elementary School.
Governor Parkop made time available to officially presentthe desks tothe eager waiting students’in front of parents and teachers.
Witnessed by parents and teachers, Governor Parkop’said he plans to invest more into school infrastructure.
Earlier this week, he openedthe Koiari Park Adventist Secondary School which is one of his projects.
Governor Parkop has so far funded sixty six classrooms, fourteen teachers’ houses, and eleven ablution blocks for various schools inthe city.
He said it is a job he cannot do alone and needsthe support of all schools to realize more school infrastructure
Governor Parkop revealed more plans to improverthe standard of education such as introducing computer skills to elementary students’and building teachers houses.
Teachersfromthe five elementary schools thanked Governor Parkop for the assistance saying it will improver learning conditions for students’
