Residents here at Mumut Street in Morata Three madethe shocking discovery ofthe mutilated, bloodlied, and naked body atthe centre ofthe road.
The deceased is known as 23 year old Jonah from a mixed parentage of Goroka and Beimuru.
According to withnesses,the deceased revealed serious knife wounds to his abdomen and thighs, and mutilation of his genitals. They allege that Jonah was slashed before being tlied to a vehicle and dragged from his street to here. The distance about 300 meters.
Meanwhile, relatives expressed shocked overthe death of young Jonah. His mther was on her way to work when she was informed.
According tothem Jonah left home late last night after receiving a call. Unknowingly this would bethe last timethey saw him alive,
The deceased was taken tothe Port Moresby General Hospital Morgue where a post-mortem will be carrlied out.
Police will be launching an investigation intothe matter.
