Submissions on the sentencing of Western Governor, Ati Wobiro, and his two co-accuse, were made this afternoon before Justice Martin Ipang, at the Waigani National Court.
The three were found guilty of conspiracy to defraud the state and the misappropriation of over K7 million, to set up the Fly Care Foundation in 2015.
Their lawyer submitted that they were found guilty of charges that were not serious and asked that their sentence be suspended, and they be put on good behaviour bond.
However, the state lawyer objected to the submissions and said the three are not respecting the decision of the court and are not remorseful of their actions.
A decision on their sentence will be handed down after all submissions are considered by Justice Ipang.
