With the Australian Wallabies just nine days away from kicking off their 2015 Rugby World Cup campaign, one player in particular eagerly awaits game day.
Tevita Kuridrani, who will play for the Wallabies in his first World Cup appearance, is looking forward to some family rivalry on the field as he fronts up against his star cousin Nemani Nadolo at Twickenham, London on September 23.
“I’m really looking forward to playing against them, the Fijian boys. Some of them, I know them,” the Wallaby, Kuridrani said.
Despite the lead up to the commencement of rugby’s biggest event, the cousins still found a little time for some pre-match banter.
“I didn’t really know he (Nemani) could kick until last weekend, I was pretty surprised,” Kuridrani joked.
Nadolo kicked 6 from 7 in Fiji’s 47-18 win against Canada, in their final warm-up game last week.
Niko Matawalu’s two tries, combined with Waisea Nayacalevu’s potency on the wing and Nadolo’s accuracy with the boot has certainly fired warning shots England’s way.
Once the weak link in the pool, now one of the favourites. Fiji will take on England this Friday to begin the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
