Tok Piksa – Episode 11, 2016

This week on Tok Piksa, we feature a story from EMTV Journalist, Serah Aupong, on the changes that Boram General Hospital in East Sepik Province will see in the near future.

Climate change impacts have been experienced all over the world. The people of Lihir Island in New Ireland Province are losing their beautiful beaches, village cemeteries and homes to rising sea levels. Edwin Fidelis visited Putput village and brings this story.

The Sepik Plains in the Yangoru-Saussia District of East Sepik Province, have never featured prominently since Independence. Its potential in the agriculture sector has remained unnoticed for years until recently. The national government has proposed a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Sepik Plains, which will be turned into a multi-agro industry.
