Port Moresby Suburban Rugby League (Pom SRL) was the proud recipient of a K5, 000 cheque by Telikom PNG (TPNG).

Speaking at the cheque presentation was Telikom PNG National Retail Manager, Amos Tepi who highlighted that Telikom was a nationally owned entity and that it was happy to give back to the local community and continue to build the business through sustenance in any way it could.

TPNG Marketing Manager, Sailas Matoli added that TPNG’s commitment to local level sporting activities and competitions has come a long way in helping youths stay involved with their communities through sports.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of Pom SRL was committee treasurer, Thomas Mote.

Mr Mote said the sponsored amount would go a long way as this would not only move the competition forward for many years but also strengthen the bond between the local communities and its donors and sponsors like TPNG in future.

“With this timely support from Telikom PNG, the youths taking part in the competition can look forward to finishing off their season of the Pom Suburban Rugby League competition come the year’s end,” says Mr Mote.
