Team Central is doing its final touch ups for all 25 sporting codes taking part in the BSP PNG Games.
Doing one of their regular visits of all 25 sporting codes with the inclusion of swimming, Team Central Sport coordinators visited the swimmers to discuss their preparations.
In the last PNG Games, Team Central only participated in 12 different sporting codes.
This year, the number has doubled and they will take part in 25 different sporting codes come the PNG Games.
With the inclusion of swimming in the PNG Games, Deputy General Team Manager for Team Central was happy to visit the swimmers and their coach at the pool yesterday afternoon after their training.
The meeting with the swimmers was to discuss matters relating to the swimmers’ accommodation, financial expenses and equipment purchases while in Lae.
Mr Kavana said he will assist the swimmers with all their needs as well as the other sporting codes.
Coach Puana said swimming is an individual sport that can increase the number of medals for the province.
Coach Puana is excited about the event and his swimmers. Training for Team Central swimmers are for two hours every Sunday afternoon.
