Following a court order, Anna Solomon has now been confirmedthe Acting Secretary for the Department of Youth, Religionand Community Development while Joseph Klapat still remains suspended.
Ms Solomon gave a directive thatthe department will not entertain claims lodged duringthe suspension of former Secretary.
Justice David Cannings ruled that Anna Solomon remains as Acting Secretary for the Department of Youth, Religionand Community Development.
The Court Order was issued bythe National Court on Wednesday this week.
Ms Solomon said she’s happy to continue her responsibilities asthe departmental head. She maintained thatthe department is intact andthe staff is focused on deliveringtheir programs.
Ms Solomon called on all departmental workers to work togther for the common good ofthe people.
Joseph Klapat remains suspended until all investigations are completed, underthe National Executive Council Decision NG 21 of 2011.
Chief Secretary tothe government Manasupe Zurenuoc early this week issued a public notice, sayingthe state would not honour any commitment made by Klapat.
