School boys undergoes intensive training at NSI

The PNG NRL Bid will hold their annual National Schools Elite Development camp for the first time at the National Sport Institute in Goroka.

Over 40 boys were selected from the recent Coca Cola National All Schools Championships in Port Moresby.

The selected boys were urged to work harder.

Bid Development Officer Shane Morris says, the aim is to reach a stage where they can respond instantly to a situation in a game with poise and the right technique.

Both the U15 and U17 camp attendees are going through intense physical fitness drills that are set to test their limits.

Former PNG great Stanley Gene is excited about the junior development program and is providing a structured pathway for the nation’s rugby league youth.
