Opposition leader, Don Polye, is calling on Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, to explain and define the current state of the economy.
Mr Polye said recent explanations by PM O’Neill and senior government ministers are irrelevant to the records in treasury and at the Central Bank.
“Mr O’Neill claims of PNG’s economy is safe is very vague and shallow in explanation”, Polye expressed.
The Opposition leader says, the government has produced the perspective of the macro-economic but not the micro-economic performance.
Mr Polye claimed that there were fundamental errors or omissions made by the Prime Minister in the reports of the economy.
The Opposition leader called on the government of the day to explain in-detail to the people of the nation.
Meanwhile the Opposition Leader, Don Polye, says the removal of foreign consultants in the country, is not right.
Mr Polye said consultants have nothing to do with the country’s struggling economy. He says consultants are here to guide the country and its welfare.
He says consultants are here to guide PNG and develop the nation.
