PNG Air Resumes Goroka Flights

PNG Air Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Abbot has thanked the National Airport’s Corporation for rectifying the runway mitigation on the Goroka Airport.

Their tireless work haas enabled the scheduled flight services into Goroka Airport, Eastern Highlands Province to resume.

“We thank the staff at NAC who have reacted swiftly to resolve the issue of runway damage and made the repairs necessary to allow for safe and ongoing operations.”

PNG Air cancelled its flight operations into Goroka, after pavement mitigation

PNG Air was the first, to cancel its flight operations since last Wednesday.

Mr Abbot said that safety is their primary concern.

The National Airport’s Corporation last week issued a NOTAM notice advising of the major pavement repair works that was effective for five days.

This was for all airline operators that the RUNWAY 25R was opened in the morning and after 1pm, closed for repair work.
